The Iraqi national Muay Thai team will participate in the Arab Professional Championship, which kicks off next month in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Ahmad Zaki, media coordinator for the Muay Thai Federation, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that this championship is a key event on the international Muay Thai calendar. It will showcase elite Arab fighters from 14 countries across Asia and Africa.
Zaki highlighted that the team’s training has been intense, with athletes undergoing rigorous sessions both morning and evening to ensure peak performance. The goal is to make a strong showing, secure top spots, and boost the sport's profile internationally. With a mix of promising young talent and seasoned veterans, the team is poised to make a significant impact.
He emphasized that the championship is not only a chance to gain valuable experience but also an opportunity to contend for medals and advance the sport's standing.
