The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced today, Sunday, the discussion of the issue of granting documents to Iraqis returning from abroad.
The Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Minister of Immigration Ivan Faiq Jabro chaired the meeting of the committee for managing the file of Iraqi deportees after their return and following up on their integration process formed according to Diwani Order No. (23535), in the presence of members of the committee and a number of international and non-governmental organizations, at the Ministry's headquarters in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The Minister confirmed, according to the statement, “the directives of Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, considering the Ministry of Immigration as the sectoral body responsible for providing support and care to Iraqis returning from abroad.”
The ministry indicated that "at the end of the meeting, the committee came out with several decisions and recommendations to be submitted to the Prime Minister's Office and the concerned authorities to provide support and assistance to Iraqis returning from abroad."
