According to SMC, the Iraqi military production is comparable to match the output of major global factories

    The Security Media Cell confirmed, today, Saturday, that military industries are part of the requirements of sovereignty and the consolidation of security, and Iraqi production is comparable to what is found in major global factories. While calling for supporting military industries and purchasing their products, it explained the types currently equipped for the security forces. 

    The head of the cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Iraqi military industries are in continuous development and their production is comparable to that of major international factories.".

    He added that "the Military Industrialization Authority has made great strides in the field of military industries and must be supported and its products acquired," noting that "military industries are part of the requirements of sovereignty and consolidating security.".

    He continued, "The Military Industrialization Authority has provided the security services with its products represented by light and medium shots and artillery shells, and there is a shift towards manufacturing military vehicles," indicating that "there is great interest from the political leadership, headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, in supporting military industries.".

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, inaugurated today, Saturday, a group of laboratories and factories in the field of military industries, including the rehabilitation and maintenance laboratory for distribution and power transformers/first phase, qualitative examination laboratories and firing ranges for the light equipment production line in the industrial complex of the Military Industrialization Authority. 

    The Prime Minister launched the executive work on the capsule factory project for light ammunition, affiliated with the General Military Industries Company, and launched the executive work on the military and civilian boats production factory project in the industrial complex of the Military Industrialization Authority. 

    He also inaugurated the iron alloys and colored metals factory in the General Military Industries Company and the light ammunition and mortar shells production factories in the industrial complex of the Military Industrialization Authority.
