The Security Media Cell announced, today, Friday, the discovery of 3 bodies of terrorists at the site of the airstrike in the Hamrin Mountains.
A statement by the cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Following our statement about the airstrike carried out "at dawn today, Friday" by F-16 aircraft in the Hamrin Mountains on the border between the Kirkuk and Salahuddin Operations Commands, which came with high-level coordination between the Counter-Terrorism Service and the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command.".
The statement added, "A force from the Counter-Terrorism Service, Kirkuk Regiment, in coordination and technical reconnaissance support from the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command, began searching the site of the strike and found 3 bodies of terrorists, and seized light weapons, ammunition, explosive devices, and two explosive belts, in addition to finding a number of destructive weapons, equipment, communication devices, and various logistical materials.".
He pointed out that "the intelligence effort and coordination between our security forces achieved high-level positive results in defeating terrorism and purifying the homeland."
