Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim discussed, today, Thursday, with the Mayor of the Jordanian capital Amman, Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, the activation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties and the service files related to reviving historical areas with a heritage character.
A statement by the Secretariat received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - stated that "Baghdad Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim visited the Greater Amman Municipality in Jordan, and met with its Secretary Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, where an expanded meeting was held in the presence of the senior staff there; to discuss activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties before the regional forum scheduled to be held from July 18-19, under the title (The Impact of Heritage Cities on the Culture of Society - Salt City as a Model)".
The statement confirmed that "the meeting witnessed the discussion of service files related to reviving historical areas with a heritage character, which are the beating heart of cities, and developing transportation networks and their impact on the movement and flow of traffic, in addition to forming joint work teams between the Amman and Baghdad Secretariats to exchange experiences and expertise, which will positively reflect on the progress of the service process and services provided to citizens.".
He explained that "the attendees exchanged views on the digital transformation of service provision, and the most important achievements of the Greater Amman Municipality in this regard, in line with the civilized requirements and developments in the technical field and the integration of technology into all areas of work."
