Two terrorists, including a dangerous Daesh leader, were killed in the Diyala province, according to a statement released by the Joint Operations Command on Friday.
In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) from the Security Media Cell, the command stated that "a force of heroes of the Military Intelligence Directorate was able to surround two terrorists and clash with them in one of the orchards of the village of Eid in Diyala," adding that "they were killed and one of them was wearing an explosive belt with a detonator in his hand, and the belt was dismantled by the specialized teams."
The statement went on to say that "the security units are continuing to combat terrorism and hit its hideouts, and will work as planned at various times and circumstances," adding that "through the information, one of the dead is the criminal terrorist nicknamed (Abu al-Harith) the so-called official Khan Bani Saad within the Diyala section."
