The new British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, announced today, Friday, the features of his new ministerial formation, which included for the first time a female Minister of Finance.
Starmer appointed Angela Rayner as his deputy, Yvette Cooper as home secretary, David Lammy as foreign secretary and John Healey as defence secretary in the new British government.
For the first time in centuries, Rachel Reeves was appointed as finance minister, becoming the first woman to hold the post in Britain.
Labour leader Keir Starmer said after being appointed prime minister in Britain: "Change starts immediately."
