Iraq's Culture Minister, Ahmed al-Fakkak, lauded the Iraqi Media Network's recent success at the Arab Festival and considered it a testament to the prowess of Iraqi media professionals.
Ahmed al-Fakkak told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Iraqi Media Network, through its victory, conveys a distinguished message about the capability of Iraqi media professionals in media specialization, heralding upcoming media development that competes globally on one hand and confronts Yellow journalism on the other."
He added, "Despite navigating two decades of challenges, IMN has emerged victorious."
At the 24th Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia, IMN secured top honors across various categories, including the TV Program Exchange, Comprehensive Program Exchange, and Radio Program Exchange. Their production "Through Arab Eyes" from Al-Mustansiriyah School earned the festival's highest award.
Additionally, IMN received the Pioneers of Scientific Research in the Arab World Award for their program "Ibn Al-Haytham" and was recognized for outstanding news coordination. The Republic of Iraq Radio was also honored at the festival with a special appreciation award.
