Diwaniyah Police Command announced on Sunday the discovery of two Ancient artifacts in the province.
Rahim Awda, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "As part of the regular inspection patrols conducted by the Antiquities Protection Department of Diwaniyah Police Command on all archaeological sites in the province, under the supervision of the Governor of Diwaniyah Police, Major General Najah Mahmoud Sultan, the Antiquities and Heritage Protection Department in Diwaniyah discovered two rare ancient artifacts in the form of seals during inspection patrols in the Al Badir area, dating back to ancient historical eras."
Awda added: "A proper report was prepared and the artifacts were handed over to the Directorate of Antiquities and Heritage Inspection in Diwaniyah."
