President of the Iraqi Parliament Mohamed Halboussi discussed with the President of the Federal Supreme Court Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud, strengthening relations between the legislative and judicial institutions.
Al-Halbusi said in a statement to his office that the House of Representatives is determined to enact a set of laws that serve the Iraqi citizen, pointing to the importance of the role of the Federal Supreme Court in the control of the constitutionality of what is issued by the authorities in the country. For his part, Mahmoud stressed the continuation of cooperation between the House of Representatives and the judiciary in order to legislate laws in accordance with the Constitution and the principles set by the Federal Supreme Court.
