The head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed on Tuesday, that Iraq adheres to its openness to its Arab, regional and international surroundings.
Sayyid Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Today we received the Saudi ambassador to Baghdad, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, and we reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, opportunities for common interests, and ways to develop them.”
Sayyid Al-Hakim praised “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for opening more than one flight between its airports and Iraqi airports.”
Sayyid Al-Hakim highlighted "the importance of the development road as it is a vital economic project, and we called on everyone to contribute to the success of this project, which represents a link between the East and the West."
