Iraqi students and researchers should have access to well-defined training programs and study opportunities, as highlighted by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naim Al-Aboudi on Monday.

"The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naim Al-Aboudi received the Rector of the Dutch Institute (IHE Delft) specialized in water Education Eddy Moors and his accompanying delegation and discussed the development of scientific and research cooperation," the ministry said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"The aspiration of Iraqi academic institutions to develop cooperation in water sciences and training fields to meet challenges and promote joint scientific research," Al-Aboudi highlighted during the meeting.

Al-Aboudi emphasized "the possibility of attracting international students in Iraqi universities within the 'Study in Iraq Program'," as well as "the importance of crystallizing training programs and study opportunities for Iraqi students and researchers in related disciplines through specialized programs."

The IHE Delft Institute's Rector, for his part, stated that he was "completely ready to collaborate with educational and academic institutions in Iraq and to finalize contexts of understanding that govern cooperative training, study, and research fields."
