“Together we can”: Baghdad hosts the fourth water conference with international participation

    Water has become a rare vital resource that is linked to all development practices. It has also become a critical element surrounding the future of humanity and shaping the strength of the relationship between societies when managed according to the principles of cooperation and participation.
     
     
    International Conference
    Baghdad will witness the holding of the Fourth International Water Conference under the slogan “Towards a Better Water Future: Together We Can,” under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani and under the supervision of Minister of Water Resources Aoun Dhiyab for the period from April 27-29, at the Gilgamesh Hall in the Babylon Hotel in the center of the capital.
     
    Conference message
    This conference is considered a gateway to communication with the regional and international environment to build bridges of cooperation in managing water resources in accordance with the principles of international law in order to achieve the common aspirations of peoples for common waterways, now and in the future.
    The continuation of holding these international conferences, the most important resource in life, is in order to keep the bonds of communication strong through cooperation in preparing plans and joint coordination for their implementation, and for this communication to be derived from the desire to achieve security, stability, development, and confront challenges through technology and participatory management.
     
    Conference objectives
    According to what the Ministry of Water Resources stated, the conference aims to “manage water as one of the most important foundations for strengthening international relations and the role it plays in developing relations between peoples and societies.”
    Water management also aims to achieve stability at the local, regional and international levels, as well as being the gateway to the future for development and innovation in an effort to maximize its availability to achieve development and prosperity.
