The Parliament adjourns its session until Wednesday

    INA - BAGHDAD

    The Parliament adjourned the session held on Tuesday until Wednesday.

    “The Parliament postponed voting during today’s session on the draft law on the first amendment to the Property Claims Commission Law No.13 2010 submitted by the Legal Committee," included a statement by the Parliament Media Department, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The vote on the draft law for the first amendment to the Iraqi Housing Fund Law No.32 2011, submitted by the Services and Reconstruction Committee was also postponed.

    During the session chaired by Deputy Speaker Shakhwan Abdullah, the Parliament completed the first reading of the draft law on the Republic of Iraq’s accession to the Convention on the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee "to prevent violence and harassment in the field of work and their elimination, as it constitutes a violation and abuse of human rights and a threat to equal opportunities."

    This also came for the Republic of Iraq’s accession to the Convention on the Elimination of Violence and Harassment in the World of Work.

    The Parliament concluded the second reading of the draft law regulating renewable energy, submitted by the Electricity and Energy, Health and Environment, and Legal Committees.
