    The parliamentary investment and Development Committee announced, on Sunday ,that there is parliamentary support for the prime minister's steps to activate the terms of the strategic framework agreement, indicating that activating the terms of the agreement will improve the country's economic, trade, investment and health reality.

    Committee member, Osama al-Badri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " Prime Minister’s Mohammed S. Al-Sudani visit to Washington is very important to activate the terms of the Strategic Framework Agreement, which includes the commercial, economic, investment, health, education, agricultural and cultural sectors to advance the reality of the country for the better" ,expressing his hope that "this agreement will be done in the right way by the Iraqi and American”.

    He pointed out "the importance of the political bloc participating in the government to support the steps of the prime minister in supporting the implementation of the agreement, and to give it a large space and sufficient space to proceed with this agreement" ,explaining that "the deputies representing the Iraqi people, support the activation of the provisions of this agreement, which will be in the interest of the Iraqi people”.

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani ,Before leaving Baghdad for the United States, stressed that " The purpose of the visit to Washington is to move the relationship between the two countries to a new stage and activate the strategic framework agreement", pointing out that "the strategic framework agreement is in line with the Government program and its economic reforms”.

    PM pointed out that" the visit will witness the holding of the first meeting of the joint Coordinating Committee on the implementation of the Strategic Framework Agreement, which has not held any meeting since the approval of the agreement ", noting that "the meeting of the Coordinating Committee will deal with the files of trade, energy, investment, education, transport, culture, anti-corruption and money recovery”.

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived in Washington, DC ,on Sunday, on an official visit at the invitation of US President Joe Biden.
