President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed, on Wednesday, work to strengthen relations in various fields.
The Presidency's Media Department said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a phone call from King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr."
"The President of the Republic exchanged with the King congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, expressing their wishes for progress and prosperity to the brotherly Iraqi and Jordanian peoples."
“During the phone call, they discussed the depth of relations between the two countries, and work to strengthen them in various fields in a way that achieves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.”
