Al-Mandalawi emphasizes the important role of religious symbols in peaceful coexistence

Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, the acting speaker of the Parliament, on Sunday ,stressed the importance of the important role of religious symbols in peaceful coexistence.

"Acting Speaker of the Parliament Mohsen al-Mandalawi received ,today, the head of the Aliyah Qadiriyah al-Kasanzaniya in the world Sheikh Nehru Sheikh Mohammed Al-kasanzani and his accompanying delegation" Al-Mandalawi media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"During the meeting, they discussed the local public affairs, the impact of security stability on society, the improvement of infrastructure and the need for concerted efforts to instill a spirit of rapprochement and peaceful coexistence between all components and consolidate this experience, and the implementation of the Constitution, which guaranteed freedom of belief and religion and acceptance of the other as one of the most important features of Iraqi society throughout history" the statement added.

Al-Mandalawi stressed "The importance of the important role of the symbols of religion, who were and still are the safety valve of our new Iraq, and the responsibility of religious awareness in the fight against militant thought and negative phenomena extraneous to our society, and urging moderate thought".
