Mass marches to commemorate Jerusalem Day

Massive marches were organized today, Friday, in the capital, Baghdad, and the governorates in solidarity with Islamic countries to commemorate International Jerusalem Day.
 
 
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent stated, "Crowds of citizens organized a march in Baghdad and the governorates to declare their solidarity with Islamic countries on the occasion of International Jerusalem Day, in the presence of religious, tribal, and political figures."
He added, "The participants in the march denounced the brutal crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians and major destruction of infrastructure."
It is noteworthy that International Jerusalem Day is an annual event held every year on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan to oppose the Zionist occupation of Jerusalem, and in which anti-Zionist demonstrations are mobilized and held in some Arab and Islamic countries around the world.
