Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed, this evening, Wednesday that the continuation of the aggression against Gaza will lead the region and its security to dangerous slides.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani made a phone call to the Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, on Wednesday evening. During the call, Al-Sudani expressed Iraq's sincere condolences, from both the government and the people, for the martyrdom of General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and several of his comrades during the Zionist aggression targeting the Iranian consulate building in Damascus. He affirmed Iraq's condemnation of this heinous aggression.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani pointed to "the depth of bilateral relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the importance of working to strengthen them in the interest of the two friendly peoples."
Al-Sudani also warned that ongoing aggression on Gaza could dangerously destabilize the region and its security, calling on the international community to take responsibility for protecting the Palestinian people and preventing the conflict from spreading across the region.
