The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research- MOHESR confirmed on Tuesday, that the "Study in Iraq" project has attracted 1015 Arab and international students, clarifying that the scholarships offered to Arab and foreign students are free.
The spokesperson for the ministry, Haider Al-Aboudi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The 'Study in Iraq' project is a pioneering initiative that has attracted international students, with Iraqi universities hosting 1015 Arab and foreign students."
Al-Aboudi added, "The environment of higher education in Iraq is on par with higher education in the region and the world, affirming that anyone who gets the opportunity to study in Iraq will be part of the history of education in the region."
He noted that "Baghdad University has graduated many Arab personalities who have assumed advanced positions in their countries," explaining that "the scholarships offered to Arab and foreign students are free, as Iraq covering the cost of the study environment and accommodation for incoming students."
