Al-Sudani Hosts Baghdad Sanitation Workers for Iftar Dinner

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, on Saturday evening, hosted a group of sanitation workers from the Baghdad Municipality for an Iftar Dinner during the holy month of Ramadan, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad.

    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani hosted a number of cleaning workers working in the Baghdad Municipality, at the iftar table for the holy month of Ramadan, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad."

    Al-Sudani emphasized that this Iftar Dinner underscores our appreciation and recognition of the sanitation workers' remarkable efforts, which are a source of pride, acknowledging their vital role in maintaining Baghdad's cleanliness and beauty.

    The Prime Minister affirmed that the cleanliness of the capital is a responsibility shared by all service sectors and requires further development, especially regarding waste recycling. Contracts with specialized companies in this field are expected soon. He emphasized that presenting the capital in a manner befitting its historical significance and reputation is crucial.

    PM heard the workers' challenges, including administrative and operational difficulties, and ordered solutions for these issues. He inquired about the level of cooperation from the residents in maintaining cleanliness, which he described as a collective responsibility. This shared duty is crucial for preserving the capital's image, particularly in municipal areas facing extra congestion during religious events and pilgrimages.
