Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani welcomed the Head of Syndicate of Iraqi Pharmacists, Mr. Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh, and his accompanying delegation.
Al-Sudani listened to a detailed presentation on the state of pharmaceuticals work in Iraq, the services provided in the healthcare sector, the Syndicate of Iraqi Pharmacists' role in leveraging the scientific energies of youth in this field, and the plans prepared for development.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the government's commitment to localizing the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq. Several measures have been taken to support investors and companies specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, steps derived from the government's program goals to improve the health sector in general, including the pharmaceutical industry.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani directed addressing requests related to allocating lands for establishing industrial cities dedicated to pharmaceutical industries in Iraq to localize drug manufacturing. He also directed his team's focus to establishing residential complexes for pharmacists, building premises for the Syndicate of Iraqi Pharmacists' representatives in the Iraqi provinces, and the establishment of a special bank for investing in and financing various pharmaceutical projects.
