The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, directed today, Wednesday, that efforts be made to provide relief to the people of Dohuk.
The Joint Operations Command said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “In implementation of the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and his diligent follow-up of the climate situation in light of the waves of rain that fell throughout the country during the past two days and the necessity of harnessing all efforts and capabilities related to the relief of our people and providing support for Dohuk Governorate in particular, the Commander-in-Chief of the Joint Operations Command and the Crisis and Disaster Center in the Ministry of Interior instructed us to provide all aspects of the required support and assistance to our people in the Kurdistan region.
According to the statement "Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, communicated with governmental and administrative authorities and leaders of the security sectors in the Kurdistan region with the aim of determining priorities and mechanisms for providing relief support to those affected by our people in the Kurdistan region."
