The Federal Supreme Court -FSC issued, on Thursday, its decision in the obscene content cases.
FSC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "It obliged both the Ministry of communications and Communications and Media Commission (CMC) to block websites, internet networks, social communication and electronic communication applications that include the manufacture and dissemination of sexual clips, nodding to sexual temptations that violate morality and ethics, the publication obscene content that is degrading to modesty, encroaching on the Divine Self and the sanctity of holy books, prophets, messengers and religious symbols, abuse and ridicule of religions and sects, as well as the promotion and dissemination of debauchery, prostitution, homosexuality, exposure to others and abuse them".
The statement added that " this was stated in its decision number (325 and unified 331/federal /2023) on 13/3/2024 ", pointing out that "the ruling decision included the blocking of other sites that offend and assault the morals and values of Iraqi society, as detailed in the ruling decision”.
