Al-Araji to Barzani: Iraq's interest is for the region to be strong

National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji confirmed on Sunday that Iraq's interest lies in making the Kurdistan region strong.
 
 
Al-Araji’s media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, met, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Conference, with the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani,” noting that “the meeting witnessed an exchange of viewpoints on all issues at the national level, in addition to discussing continued cooperation between the center and the region on issues and files of concern, in a way that achieves national consensus and the common interest between the center and the region.”
Al-Araji reiterated, “Emphasizing that it is in Iraq’s interest for the region to be strong within a unified Iraq,” stressing “the importance of working to adopt a national dialogue through the combined efforts of all political forces, to achieve the political stability that everyone seeks.”
