Iraq takes part in World Government Summit held in UAE

    Iraq's participation in the World Government Summit in the United Arab Emirates was announced by the Federal Commission of Integrity (FCOI) today, Wednesday. Commissioner Judge Haider Hanoun emphasized the importance of investing in technological advancement and artificial intelligence.
     
    "Iraq, represented by the Federal Integrity Commission, participated in the World Government Summit hosted by the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the future of governments around the world, focus on artificial intelligence and harness to confront the scourge of corruption and strengthen institutional partnerships to support integrity, transparency, and accountability in the public sector," read a statement from the Federal Integrity Commission of Iraq (FCOI) that was obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

     
    According to the statement, Judge Haider Hanoun, the Commissioner of the Federal Commission of Integrity, attended the summit within the two dialogue seminars titled "The role of partnerships and institutional partnerships in promoting public integrity and transparency" and "Joint responsibility in protecting public resources."
     
    During a meeting off-site at the summit, Judge Haider Hannun discussed "the desire to hold training courses for financial auditors, due to the Authority's expertise in this field and its use of modern technological tools" with Humaid Obaid Abushibs, the Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA).

    "The Authority's readiness to cooperate in all fields, and to form joint teams from both parties to solve challenges, enhance expertise, develop and improve systems and policies to prevent and combat corruption, in addition to strengthening scientific cooperation between the two parties according to their field of competence," stated the Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority.
