Qatar's national team maintained its Asian Cup title by winning the Continental Cup for the second time in a row, after defeating its Jordanian counterpart, 3-1, in the final match that was held in Qatar, specifically at Lusail Stadium.
Qatari club Annabi's goals were scored by the star Akram Afif, all from the penalty spot in the 22nd, 73rd and 90+5 minutes, while Al-Jordenians' goal came from Yazan Al-Naimat in the 66th minute.
With today's hat-trick of goals, Akram Afif won the tournament's top scorer award by reaching 8 goals, surpassing Ayman Hussein and became the first player to score in two consecutive finals of the Asian Cup.
The Qatar national team won the 2019 Asian Cup, which was held in the UAE, at the expense of Japan at the time, with a score of 3-1.
