We achieved important results through proactive operations carried out during the last period: ICTS

Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) counted on Friday, its operations and the results achieved during the month of January.
 
 “ICTS in light of its analysis of operations and the level of threat from the terrorist ISIS organization, its intelligence work, and its collection of intelligence information about the groups or remnants of the terrorist ISIS, aims to develop preemptive plans and operations targeting their whereabouts especially in the caves and guesthouses in the eastern sector, Makhul, the Hamrin Mountains, and Wadi Zaghitoun,” ICTS spokesman, Sabah al-Numan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"During the past period, ICTS carried out several proactive operations during which it achieved important results, especially in targeting the guest houses where the remnants of the organization were present," Al-Numan added "intelligence work and obtaining very accurate information led to achieving results, especially during the past month.
 
"During the past month, ICTS formations carried out 23 operations that resulted in the arrest of 132 terrorists at different levels, in addition to the destruction of 9 guesthouses, some of which were natural caves,” He continued.  
 
"In light of the directives of the head of ICTS, Lieutenant General Karim Al-Tamimi, ICTS intelligence efforts continue to combat the drug scourge and coordinate with the relevant authorities, ICTS carried out several operations that led to the arrest of a number of drug dealers in different regions of Iraq,” He pointed out.
