Karbala Governorate Council voted today, Sunday, on Nassif Al-Khattabi as governor of Holy Karbala and Ali Al-Mayali as his first deputy.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that: Karbala Provincial Council voted on Nassif Al-Khattabi as governor of Holy Karbala and Ali Al-Mayali as first deputy. Qasim Al-Yasari was also chosen as head of the Karbala Provincial Council and Mahfouz Al-Tamimi as his deputy.
Al-Khattabi said in a press conference followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The members of the Karbala Governorate Council will work within a single political ambiance and framework, and we respect and appreciate all political blocs,” indicating that “Karbala Governorate will complete its success story with more reconstruction in cooperation with the federal government and under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani.”
