Communications and Media Commission CMC announced, on Friday, that work was under way to launch the fourth mobile phone license, indicating that the license will be launched soon.
The head of CMC, Ali Al-Moayyed, said in statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) "The fourth license was included in the ministerial curriculum and the councils of Ministers and Deputies voted on it ", indicating that “the Communications and Media Commission granted the license to al-Salam company of the Ministry of Communications, cooperation and work is under way between the Commission and the Ministry to complete this project."
Al-Moayyed added that "the project is a popular aspiration and demand", noting that "the date of launch of the license will be soon."
"The launch of the fourth license is linked to the Ministry of Communications procedures that carried out this project", noting that “Communications and Media Commission is ready and has provided all sufficient papers in this area" he stated.
Earlier, The Ministers Council approved that Communications and Media Commission to issuance of a national 5G mobile license for an exclusive period (3) years to al-Salam Company, one of the Ministry of Communications companies .
