On Thursday, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, the leader of the National Wisdom Movement, emphasized the significance of advancing to the stage of bilateral partnerships with the International Organisation. He also noted that the upcoming local governments and provincial councils will improve stability, which will support the reconstruction process.
"We met this morning, with Jainen Hennis-Plasschaert the Special Representative of the Secretary-General to Iraq, and reviewed the political developments in Iraq and the region and the ties between Iraq and the United Nations," stated Sayyid Al-Hakim in a tweet on the X platform, which was obtained up by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He highlighted the "importance of moving to the stage of bilateral partnerships with the International Organization after Iraq has overcome most of the challenges at both the inside and outside level" .
"Preserving the stability achieved through the sacrifices of Iraqis of all components," Sayyid Al-Hakim underscored, adding, "we expressed our full support to the Iraqi government in its negotiations with the international coalition to confront terrorism to end its tasks and move to the stage of bilateral relations to serve both sides." He also highlighted the significance of the upcoming provincial councils and local governments to enhance stability and sustain reconstruction and development.
He reiterated that "silence towards the genocide of an unarmed people represents a blatant targeting of international values, principles and laws" and urged the international community to "shoulder its responsibilities towards the Gaza crisis."
Sayyid Al-Hakim urged "stopping the war and bringing in aid and relief to the displaced people who have no shelters in this extreme cold" .
