In accordance with directives from the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, the Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday that it was launching a relief campaign in support of Palestinian women residing in the Gaza. The campaign involves sending food, medical supplies, and in-kind aid.
The Women's Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Finance organized a relief campaign in solidarity with Palestinian women in the Gaza, according to a ministry statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement went on to say, "As an extension of Iraq's historical and firm stance towards supporting the Palestinian cause materially and humanitarianly, the campaign included sending a shipment of food, medical, and nationally made in-kind aid.”
The statement made clear that "all departments, banks, bodies, and companies of the ministry had previously directed the launch of an initiative to collect donations, which in turn received a quick response in providing various needs."
Notably, the initiative's emergence aligns with the declaration of Baghdad as the capital of Arab women and falls within the framework of the national team's recommendations at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet.
