Six drug dealers, a dangerous terrorist brought to justice in Babil and Najaf: SMC

    The Security Media Cell- SMC declared on Sunday that six drug dealers and a dangerous terrorist had been brought to justice in Babil and Najaf.
     
    One of the ISIS terrorist gang members who had previously taken part in numerous terrorist operations in the Jurf al-Nasr area, including the transfer of IEDs and weapons, the establishment of terrorist dens, and other terrorist activities, was captured by intelligence detachments of Babil, according to a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). This arrest was made "based on intelligence information," the statement reads.
     
    The arrest was made by ambush after the convict was lured from the province of Anbar to Alexandria district, and an arrest warrant was issued against him in compliance with Article (4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law," SMC continued.
     
    In connection with this, the cell reported that "two of the most dangerous drug traffickers were arrested by the same Directorate detachments, in cooperation with the Anti-Drug Directorate and the Rapid Response Squad, following a clash in the province of Karbala. Two judicial warrants were issued against them per the provisions of Article (28) drugs."
     
    Under the same circumstances, it was noted that "four drug dealers and promoters found in possession of narcotic substances, grenade, and other light weapons were arrested by the detachments of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Najaf, in a cautious intelligence effort and coordination with the Directorate of Anti-Narcotics."
