Baghdad INA Trade Minister Mohammad Hashim al-Ani discussed with Canadian Ambassador to Iraq Paul Gibar the issues related to the development of bilateral relations in the economic, investment and trade fields. The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in the economic, investment and commercial fields and the supply of Canadian wheat to Iraq,the ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). Al-Ani, according to the statement, the need for Iraq to large quantities of wheat for the purpose of securing the requirements of the ration card, calling on the Canadian side to more cooperation in the supply of wheat to Iraq to provide the ration card items and improve their quality. For his part, the Canadian Ambassador Paul Gibard expressed his country's desire to develop and strengthen bilateral relations and develop prospects for cooperation in the field of trade, especially with regard to the import of wheat and the contribution of Canadian companies to enter partnerships and investment projects with the Iraqi private sector inside Iraq.
