On Iraqi Judiciary Day, Zidan confirms "we will continue to develop the judicial system"

    The President of the Supreme Judicial Council(SJC), Judge Faiq Zidan, confirmed on Tuesday, the continuation of efforts to develop the judicial system in Iraq.
     
     “The independence of the judiciary began after 2003 and was completed on the twenty-third of January 2017 after the issuance of SJC Law No. 45,” Judge Zidan said, in his speech on Iraqi Judiciary Day, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
     
    "The independence of the judiciary is the most important achievement because judges implement the law without any influence,” He added,
     
    He stated,  “Our awareness of the importance of our role in establishing justice made us succeed in overcoming difficulties and challenges,” pledging to “apply the constitution and the law impartially .
     
    "There are efforts to develop the judicial system through developing the infrastructure and developing the scientific and technical capabilities of the judicial cadres,” Zidan stressed.
