Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed, today, Friday, to honor the players of our national team after their victory over Japan in the Asian Nations Cup finals.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, this evening, made a phone call to the President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Captain Adnan Darjal, who is in the Qatari capital, Doha, in which he offered congratulations on the occasion of the great victory achieved by our national team over its Japanese counterpart in the match that took place in the Asian Nations Cup finals.".
Al-Sudani stressed - during the call, according to the statement - that "the victory that was achieved has rejoiced the Iraqi people from north to south.".
Al-Sudani directed, “to honor the players and the coaching staff with a financial reward,” stressing, “continuing government support for the national team, and that this victory will be an incentive to provide the best in the upcoming matches and achieve good results that qualify Iraq to reach the final.”
