Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein congratulated his counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya of Kuwait on assuming his position.
In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "his wishes for His Excellency success in his new duties" were shared during a phone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya. The call was held to congratulate the Kuwaiti foreign minister on assuming his post in the sisterly state of Kuwait.
Hussein emphasized Iraq aspires to collaborate in a manner that advances the mutual understanding and shared interests of both countries.
