The European Union's ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, confirmed on Tuesday that the recent attacks against Iraq's sovereignty destabilized it.
“The European Union is deeply concerned about the escalation of violence in the region, which has caused many civilian casualties throughout the Middle East," said Ambassador Thomas Seiler in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "The recent attacks against Iraq's sovereignty raise grave concern because of their destabilizing impact on the country and the region."
The European Union ambassador urged "the active parties in the region to exercise the utmost restraint and work to stop the escalation."
