President Abdul Latif Rashid confirmed on Tuesday, that he agreed with Estonian President Alar Karis on the need to ease tensions in the region.
“In the first visit of an Estonian president to Iraq, we discussed strengthening bilateral relations in addition to security and stability in the country as it represents a top priority for Iraqis, and a foundational element for stability in the region," said Rashid on X, followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "We discussed regional developments, as we stressed the need to stop the war on Gaza and secure the full rights of the Palestinian people. We agreed on the need to reduce tensions in the region and prevent the dangers of its expansion."
