IHEC delegation visits Kurdistan tomorrow to determine the date of regional elections

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Sunday that a delegation from it will visit Erbil tomorrow to determine the date of parliamentary elections for the region.

The Commission’s spokeswoman, Jumana Al-Ghulay, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a delegation from the presidency of the Commissioners Council, the head of the electoral administration, members of the Commissioners Council, and judges will visit Erbil tomorrow".

"The purpose of the visit is to discuss with the Kurdistan region presidency on determining the date of holding parliamentary elections in the region", indicating that "the 16th of this month will be the meeting to determine the date of the elections” she added.
