Al-Jarjri representative of Iraq to the Assembly of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments

    The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Parliament and member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments, Safwan Bashir Al-Jarjri , arrived on Saturday, in the State of Qatar, to represent Iraq in the Association’s meetings.
     
     “A member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments, and Secretary-General of the Iraqi Parliament , Safwan Bashir Al-Jarjri , arrived in the State of Qatar to participate in the meetings of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments No. (41), which includes the Arab countries,” The media office of the Secretary-General of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    Al-Jarjri  stressed, "The meetings focused on discussing the internal regulations of parliaments and their experiences in managing and organizing the affairs of parliaments in Arab countries and exchanging experiences."
     
     
    The statement continued: “On the sidelines of the meetings, Al-Jarjri discussed, separately, a number of proposals and opinions with the President of the Executive Assembly, Ahmed Al-Fadala, the Secretary-General of the Egyptian People’s Assembly, Ahmed Al-Manna, and the Secretary-General of the Somali Parliament, to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the secretaries of parliaments in the Arab parliaments.” 
     
    It  added, "The Secretary-General of parliaments met with a number of Iraqi representatives and ministers in Doha, to inform them of the importance of the Assembly's meetings and their role in increasing expertise and coordination between Arab parliaments."
     
    The statement pointed out that "the Iraqi Chargé d'Affairs at the Iraqi Embassy in Qatar, Muhammad al-Issawi, received the Secretary-General of parliaments and his accompanying delegation."
