The Civil Defense Directorate issued directives regarding launching fireworks.
“Civil Defense issued a directive not to set off fireworks in the alleys of residential areas and commercial markets ,near poles and electrical wires, near palm trees and trees, and also not set off fireworks from inside wheels, (as it causes traffic accidents and confuses traffic on the roads) ,"stated the Directorate in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
The statement emphasized the necessity of not allowing children to launch fireworks at all (as losing control over launching fireworks may cause human injuries, alerting from launching fireworks horizontally or diagonally (which causes a short range of their height and leads to descending while they are still burning).
The statement warned, "Not to set off fireworks near electrical generators as there are fuel tanks and electrical wires, and not to set off fireworks near hospitals (to prevent disturbing patients), as well as not to set off fireworks in closed places (such as wedding and event halls to prevent the outbreak of fire accidents)."

I/Fire hazards where they are one of the causes of fire accidents according to the annual statistics of the Directorate of Civil Defense.
II/Environmental pollution hazards (causing air and noise pollution, adversely affecting the environment and the population's comfort and causing fear and panic among children).
III/Health risks, including burns (bruises/eye injuries/hearing injuries).
