The Ministry of Culture announced, today, Thursday, a future plan that will achieve the transition and development of the Children’s Culture House.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Fadel Al-Badrani, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We are celebrating the 54th anniversary of the founding of the Children’s Culture House,” noting that “the house is an educational, cultural, educational academy and has a rich history.”.
He added, "The next plan for the house will include a transition and development that keeps pace with the nature of intellectual, technological and digital development witnessed by all institutions of the Iraqi state and countries of the world.".
For his part, Director General of the Children’s Culture House, Ismail Suleiman, stressed that “one of the priorities of conscious education is developing children’s self-abilities, supporting their positive ideas, and raising the sense of competence, worthiness, and ability to achieve and succeed,” stressing that “these are the foundations from which the idea of the Children’s Culture House emerged in 1969, when it was issued.”.
Majalati magazine, and shortly after that, Al-Mizmar magazine was published, both magazines specialized in children’s culture and achieved wide Arab circulation.”
He continued, "On the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the House, we cannot help but stand in reverence and honor for those remarkable figures who stimulated the ability of imagination and creativity in childhood," offering "thanks to the staff working at the Children's Culture House."
In turn, the Director of the Community Police on the Karkh side, Colonel Omar Afkar Ibrahim, pointed out that “the presence of the Community Police today in the Children’s Culture House is part of its work in supporting the segment of children by following them up in schools and the aspects that currently concern them.
The Community Police is the Iraqi Family Police to solve all problems.” Resolving all negative matters, noticing them, and directing them through our outlets spread throughout Iraq, as well as awareness and educational matters. Today we are in the Children’s Culture House, which is part of our work as community police in supporting this segment by following them in schools, following up on cases of violence, and many other matters related to the issue of children.” .
While the journalist Nisreen George revealed, “There is an idea that must be discussed, which is the return of children to reading Majalati magazine. After the emergence of many satellite channels, there must be a mechanism for children to return to reading.”
She continued, "The Children's Culture House has spent 54 years publishing Culture, Science, Instructions, and Morals, and it is necessary to participate and make children participate in this publication."
