Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MOFA announced on Tuesday, that Iraq earned the post of Deputy Head of Mission of the Office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen.
“UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, announced the appointment of the Iraqi diplomat Sarhad Fattah to the post," said MOFA spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "Sarhad Fattah's selection comes due to his more than 18 years of experience in political, diplomatic and multilateral activity at the national and international levels. In 2019, he served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Iraq to UN in New York."
