Al-Maliki: Iraq and the region face major challenges

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iraq and the region are witnessing major challenges that require all national forces to stand up to them by preserving the country’s unity, security and stability.

Al-Maliki stated in his blog post on the “X” platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “On the anniversary of the great victory day over the forces of darkness and criminality, the terrorist organization ISIS, we salute our armed forces and our heroic Popular Mobilization Forces, who with the blessing of their sacrifices achieved a decisive victory."

He added, "The vast conspiracy planned by ISIS gangs to attack our beloved Iraq and its honorable sanctities has been foiled, and thanks to the fatwa of sufficient jihad and the blood of our heroic martyrs, this great achievement has been achieved."
