The Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Special Forces, Yehia Rasool said in an official statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani has directed security leaders across sectors of responsibility to capture and prosecute those responsible for the rocket attack aimed at the US Embassy in Iraq."

He stated that "Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized that targeting diplomatic missions is unjustifiable and unacceptable under any circumstances, regardless of the allegations or the delusions behind such shameful acts."

Rasool also confirmed that "Prime Minister Al-Sudani stressed that those responsible for such attacks insult Iraq, its stability, and security. He clarified that these lawless groups do not represent the will of the Iraqi people and do not reflect the Iraqi national decision, as expressed by the government on multiple official occasions."

"Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized that violating Iraq's stability, harming internal security, attempting to undermine Iraq's political reputation, and targeting safe places protected by the rule of law, norms, and international agreements are acts of terrorism. Our security forces and government agencies, each according to their jurisdiction and duty, will continue to protect diplomatic missions, maintain international treaties, and adhere to securing them. Individuals involved in the attacks will face persecution and confrontation, defending Iraq's hard-won sovereignty and stability, achieved through significant sacrifices," Rasool added.
