The head of COI , Palestinian ambassador discuss concluding a memorandum of understanding in the field of combating corruption

    The head of the Commission of integrity (COI), Judge Haider Hanoun, expressed ON Sunday, his full support for the Palestinian cause and the liberation of all the occupied territories, while he discussed with the Palestinian Ambassador, Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, frameworks of cooperation and concluding a memorandum of understanding in the field of combating corruption.

    Hanoun stressed, during his meeting with Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq, according to a statement by the Commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the Palestinian issue is deeply rooted in the conscience of the Iraqi people and that our fathers bequeathed to us the love of Palestine and the defense of the cause of its oppressed people."

    He expressed his "regret over the massacres committed by the Zionist entity against children and women in the besieged Gaza Strip," calling for "an international investigation into these crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice."

    He noted "the Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani's directives to quickly conclude the memorandum of understanding to be concluded between the Federal Integrity Commission and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission."

    For his part, Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi appreciated “the insistence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to support the Palestinian cause by all means, including directing the rapid completion of the memorandum of understanding between the Federal Integrity Commission and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission, and for the Iraqi side to bear all its costs,” expressing “the gratitude and thanks of the Palestinian people the  position of the Republic of Iraq and the Prime Minister of Iraq in support of the hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people in achieving their just aspirations to establish the Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital."

    The two parties agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of combating corruption and preserving public funds, exchanging expertise and experiences in this regard, determining the rules and patterns of exchanging information available at the national, regional and international levels, and coordinating efforts in the field of preventing and preventing corruption.
