Interior minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, directed Thursday, providing a safe and appropriate atmosphere for people during the electoral entitlement.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari held today, a security conference at the Command of the first division of the Federal Police, and was informed about the most important duties and tasks performed by the command.
Al-Shammari affirmed according to the statement "the importance of intensifying efforts to gain the citizen's trust and provide the best services to him," emphasizing on "law enforcement and dealing professionally with incidents and preventing their occurrence.
Al-Shammari called for "the security decision to be brave in accordance with the law, as well as the support of other security services, including flying squad, as well as traffic detachments".
The interior minister also instructed "to optimally provide a safe and appropriate atmosphere for citizens during the electoral entitlement in the governorate council elections ".
Al-Shammari listened to a detailed summary of the work of the first division, instructing "a set of recommendations that would develop the security and service work within the framework of the responsibility," and confirmed "his full support for the work of this division to enhance security and stability according to the plans drawn".
