Maysan Criminal Court sentences a drug dealer to death

    The Maysan Criminal Court issued on Tuesday,  a death sentence by hanging against a drug trafficker in Maysan. 

    “More than 19 kilograms of narcotic substances smuggled into Iraq for the purpose of trafficking were seized in the possession of a drug dealer,” Stated The Supreme Judicial Council –SJC in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).


    "The ruling against him comes in accordance with the provisions of Article 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017, "the statement added.
