Al-Mandalawi renews his call to adopt an urgent stance to stop the genocide crimes against the Palestinians

    First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, today, Thursday, renewed his demand to adopt a strong and urgent Islamic position to stop the genocide crimes against the Palestinians. 

    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received in his office the Turkish Ambassador, Ali Reza Konay.”.

    According to the statement, Al-Mandalawi renewed his call for the need for the Arab and Islamic countries to adopt a strong, united and urgent position that contributes to stopping the crimes of genocide to which the Palestinian people are being subjected at the hands of the usurping Zionist entity in Gaza. 

    On the other hand, he stressed "the importance of serious action by neighboring Turkey regarding addressing the shared water issue and increasing water releases, because of this importance in strengthening cooperation frameworks at various levels and opening new investment horizons for Turkish companies in the country," pointing out that " Failure to deal positively with this issue in particular negatively affects the agricultural, environmental, health and food security reality in Iraq.”.

    The statement added, "The two sides discussed the results of the joint meetings between the Iraqi government and the Turkish side, with the aim of organizing trade exchange and the resulting procedures that contribute to the stability of the local market and currency exchange rates, and emphasized facilitating procedures for granting entry visas between the two countries, and accelerating the implementation of a road project." Strategic development because of its great economic and investment importance.”
